
Brown Butter Cookies
Makes prrox 18 extra large cookies.
Ingredients
2 cups AP flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
3/4 cup butter, melted and lightly browned, given time to cool.
1 cup packed brown sugar, light or dark.
1/2 cup white sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons vanilla extract.
2 eggs, room temperature.
1 cup mini chocolate chips.
1 cup chocolate chunks
1/2 cup finely chopped chocolate.
Directions
in a large mixing bowl, sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar and white sugar until well blended. Beat in the vanilla and eggs until light and creamy.
Combine wet and dry ingredients, along with chocolate chips, chunks and grated chocolate until well combined. cover and chill for 12-48 hours.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
drop cookie dough onto cookie sheet, leaving 3 inches between cookies. Bake for 15 minutes, or until edges are lightly browning. Centers will seem somewhat underdown. Let cool for 15 minutes.
Transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
